This week the children have been doing lots of sensory play. We added flour, lentils and peas to our dough. They were blowing bubbles to develop muscles in their mouths.
We want the children to develop independence and to be self motivated learners. We encourage children to make choices about what they want to play with and encourage creativity especially in the craft area. The children choose the activity, squeeze out paint themselves, help themselves to glue and craft materials, label their work and tidy up after themselves. We focus on the process of making something and not the finished product so celebrate whatever they bring home with them.
Thank you for the photographs that have come in so far. We have loved listening to the children telling us about them. The children are developing language skills and are enjoying showing them to their friends. Please bring in a photo asap if you have not already done so.
