The children have had a great first full week in nursery and I would imagine, like the staff, they are exhausted at the end of it!
There is so much valuable learning taking place as we establish routines and navigate our way around school. This week we have introduced our ‘good morning’ song and the children have been using timers to take turn and enjoy time in our rainbow room.
We made play dough together and have been developing hand strength through rolling and squeezing.
Each child has their own special place to ‘ show off’ their favourite pieces of work and we have enjoyed filling up all these spaces.
Are first group made healthy muffins using blackberries Mrs Phair collected whilst out walking. We were able to talk about textures and how things change with heat ( recipe below)…. Don’t worry our second group will have a chance to make these next week!
We were really excited to play with our new water wall which has been purchased using money from nursery fund and is a fantastic addition to our playground.
Next week both our groups will be joining together and are full class will meet for the first time!
We have also recorded our full version of Humpty Dumpty for you as Lily was telling us that mummy didn’t know all the words??!
All children will be having snack in school next week and breakfast club starts(8.20am) for any child who is arriving for 9 am
