Autumn fun
This week the children have been introduced to our Forest schools program. They had fun looking for signs of Autumn, talking about hedgehogs and using colour cards to match. They also planted their daffodil bulbs and talked about what they will need to grow. They will need to be very patient until Spring to see the shoots.
We have been working on our days of the week song and I have included a video of them saying it so you can practice it at home.
At the craft area we have introduced the glue gun and the children are exploring joining things together and being creative. We encourage children to make choices about what they want to make and use their imagination. We focus on the skills and processes of creating art and not on the finished product so celebrate any work the children bring home.
Next Friday is our Autumn colour day and we invite the children to wear an Autumn coloured outfit instead of their school uniform on this day.
