This week we have been busy practicing for our Nativity show. The children are very excited to perform this for you on Wednesday. Often children will sing in rehearsals but can get overwhelmed when in front of a crowd so whatever happens on the day is fine. Parents can come in at 10am for a cuppa and the show starts at 10.30. There is no school on Thursday to allow the full time class to perform their show.
Christmas has truly arrived in Nursery! The children loved their trip to Castlecoole where they found the baubles Santa had left to decorate our Christmas tree. It was lovely to see so many parents on the walk and joining us for hot chocolate back at school.
We had a visit from a dentist who talked to the children about brushing their teeth in circles every morning and night and about eating healthy foods.
Outdoors we have been cleaning the playground. The children have been using strong arm muscles to sweep up the wet leaves.
Group time this month is focusing on scissor skills, making a pattern and the skills involved in wrapping a present. At home you can encourage the children to cut pictures out of catalogues and help you cut wrapping paper and sellotape to support this learning.
