This week the children have been feeling the Christmas vibes, painting baubles with Polliwogs Pottery and singing our songs for the nativity. We have a great group of singers this year and the songs are coming along nicely! It would be great if you could go over the words of ‘Away in a Manger’ with your child to help us out with this one!
We have been talking about the differences between day and night, night time sounds and nocturnal animals. We have had lots of fun with and discussion about shadows. The light box was fascinating and we have had great fun exploring how we could make shadows bigger and smaller. The sun even came out to let us investigate shadows in the playground!
On Friday, we put our baking skills to the test, measuring, counting, mixing and pouring to make bran muffins. These proved very popular and the recipe is included if anyone wants to try them at home.
