Freezing fun as we explore Winter and cold lands
Welcome back to our new term! We were delighted to see a little snow as we start our new topics exploring Winter weather and cold lands.
The children have been learning about the polar regions and some of the animals who live there. Why not ask them about penguins and polar bears? They may be able to teach you something new😉
In the classroom we have been building igloos and having lots of fun exploring and experimenting with how ice melts and water freezes. We even made our own snow!
In group time we are practising throwing and catching and counting quantities up to ten as well as making comparisons such as big/bigger, tall/ taller/ tallest etc
We have been learning a song about January and have been doing the penguin dance.
