Full time class news
Another busy week at Nursery School and the children are settling really well. We have been developing our hand strength and using the peeler to peel apples, which the children really enjoyed. Each week two children will have the opportunity to be class helpers and assist with serving snack. This is it be an opportunity to build independence and self help skills and the children love doing this.
This week we have been working in small groups to complete jigsaws, build with Duplo and thread large beads. All of which are great activities to develop fine motor skills. If you have an opportunity to develop the skills further at home, I would encourage you to do so.
There has been lots of wet play in the red zone this week, so please do not worry if your child has gone home with wet clothes. This is a sign of a day well spent! Please return any spare clothes that are used on these days.
Can we encourage you not to bring school bags to School, unless this is necessary as we have very little storage.
Next week, the children will be staying for dinner and pick up time will be 12.30. This is another new experience for children and we encourage you to chat about this at home.
If you could let us know next week, whether you would like your parent teacher interview over the phone or face-to-face and also, if you will be attending our family fun night next Friday.
Have a lovely weekend!
