The children have had a lovely short week this week full of Easter treats. On Monday we enjoyed a visit to the model school playground and brought a picnic snack with us for a change.
At the art table we made some temporary/transient art on large Easter eggs and some bunny rabbit themed painting and collage where we practised using a stapler to join materials together.
We also practised our scissor skills in scissor club after lunch on Tuesday. All of the children are really coming on and developing their fine motor skills.
Today we went on an egg hunt in Castlecoole and met the Easter bunny. We performed our Easter bunny song for the Easter bunny and also enjoyed some parachute games in the porch at the front of castlecoole house. We embraced the bad weather by trying to catch hailstones on our tongues, by jumping in puddles and making squelchy noises in the mud with our welly boots!
The children have taken home a school bag today filled with paper, a pencil, scissors, glue, a whiteboard, whiteboard pen and rubber to practice their mark making, be creative and use scissors at home. They are yours to keep.
