It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
As we continued our exploration of night and day we had a special delivery in school… a Christmas tree specially delivered by the big man himself!
We had a wonderful adventure in the forest and the children were so well behaved. Thank you to our PTA for helping us out on the day.
Outdoors we have been building, balancing and jumping.
On Thursday we had a special visit from Sophie, the dentist. The children were able to tell her about how they brush their teeth and we looked at foods that are good for our teeth and those that are not.
Some children showed Sophie how they can brush their own teeth and we had great fun pretending to be dentists and patients in role play.
We are focusing on scissor skills this month and all children could benefit from increased practise of this at home.
We have spent a lot of time rehearsing for our play. The children have worked so hard and we are looking forward to welcoming you into school on Thursday to see them. We will be putting costumes on on Monday and Tuesday and each child will get a photo for their school book taken off the all dressed up.
Talk to the children about the nativity play and encourage them to keep singing the songs at home.
Please remember there is no school for our class on Wednesday and all children will go home with their grown up after the nativity show on Thursday so no dinner will be served.
We could also do with spare socks for the children at this time of year.
Have a great weekend!
