October news
This week the children have been investigating and exploring properties and how things change. We were all very busy on Monday helping to make some delicious vegetable soup. There was lots of chopping and cutting involved. Perhaps your child can name some of the vegetables they used from the pictures. Everything changed from being hard to soft once cooked.
Making the play dough is always a very popular activity and the children know the ingredients needed. If you get time have a go making it at home. We can provide you with the recipe.
Following on from our work on Goldilocks we have been singing and clapping the Goldilocks rap, hopefully you have heard it being sung. Today the children helped to make the three bears porridge which they then were able to taste and enjoy as part of snack.
We have been busy outside exploring natural materials and how we can use things in our play in Forest School activities. The children really enjoyed painting and drawing with leaves ,sticks and mud. Investigating our world and all the natural changes that occur especially at this time of the year is an important part of learning. If you are able to please take advantage of the nice weather this weekend and explore your garden or go for a walk.
