Ready for anything!
They say there is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothes! We put this to the test this week when storm Agnes arrived but it definitely did not bother the children who loved the mud and the puddles….the staff not so much!!
Please if you have not sent three pairs of socks for your child’s drawer already, send on Monday. This is so important and makes life so much easier for both children and staff.
We have purchased a new air fryer for school and the children loved making dough balls. This is such a simple thing for children to make with only one cup of SR flour and one cup of yoghurt and the children can enjoy rolling and cutting the dough and they are ready in six minutes… a perfect activity for a wet day!
We have been developing hand eye coordination and gross motor skills by throwing and catching balloons and also matching and pairing socks in maths……two activities that children could easily practice at home.
Dinners are going really well and we are delighted to see children trying foods on their plate. We do not routinely report on what individual children eat but if we feel they are not eating well or have any concerns we will speak to you about it.
Lots happening in school in the next week starting with our fun night this evening and Mrs Phair looks forward to chatting with parents this week and then welcoming you into school for our MacMillan coffee morning on Friday at 10am. Please try to make it along if possible, and invite family and friends as the children will be delighted to have you in school.
We are also looking for donations for this day of baked goods so if you can help us out please speak to a member of staff.
