This week we made the most of our cold spell to encourage the children’s learning in our polar lands topic. We were ice excavators as we rescued our penguins and polar bears from ice blocks. We explored adding salt to speed up melting and adding warm water to the ice blocks.
Lots of Outdoor play this week enjoying the cold weather. The children get great value from this play digging, scooping, filling, carrying and pulling.
We have started learning new songs for our family and people who love us topic. Next Friday is our special person day. We would love it if your child could invite, as far as possible, someone who does not live in the house with them or hasn’t had the opportunity to visit them in school as we are trying to show them that they have lots of people who look after and care for them. We have an invite ( photo attached ) which, I apologise, I forgot to send home today for your child to give to the person they want to invite.
Final reminder for any baby photos, we are painting baby pictures next week and this will be a great help to them.
