The children are continuing to enjoy new experiences in Nursery School. This week we came together as a full class for the first time. This worked very well and although we are continuing to teach in small groups, the children have enjoyed making new friends.
This week we have been reading familiar fairytale stories and the children loved reading the story of the gingerbread man. We were able to make gingerbread men and staff were very impressed with how well the children were able to wait, take turns and listen when baking.

The children have been practising putting on our waterproofs and wellies each day. It is really encouraging to see over the course of the week how many of them have now accomplished putting on their own shoes and zipping up the waterproofs. These are essential skills for Nursery and your help with this at home would be much appreciated. The children get a great sense of achievement out of accomplishing the skills for themselves.

All children are now familiar with Our snack routine and are learning to say please, and thank you at the table. We hope that you will see these lovely manners transferred at home.

We are learning the golden rules in Nursery and have enclosed a short video of a song to help remind the children.

The children are very tired this week, so please try to allow them some downtime this weekend to recover. School is a very busy day and they are learning so much that it is exhausting! Remember that next week all children will be in School From 9 am to 12 pm. Breakfast club is also available from next week starting at 8:20 am. If your child is using the service please ring the buzzer on the gate and a member of staff will let you in. The service is pay-as-you-go £2 per day .

It is helpful for children to know who will be collecting them each day and that those collecting are here promptly to pick them up as children can get distressed if they are left behind at the end of the session.
Have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday
