We had a busy week cleaning up after the storm. The children enjoyed telling us about their experiences without electricity! We were bird watching this week and we made some bird food with bagels, lard and seeds.
We celebrated Chinese new year with noodles and rice for snack and even learned a dragon dance. We also had a go at mark making and copying writing Chinese symbols.
We were delighted to welcome so many special people into school today. The children were so excited to show off their school and perform some songs.
Lastly a gentle reminder to please send your child to school in Velcro strap shoes that your child can take off and put back on independently. The wee boots with laces and side zips, while lovely, are really tricky for them to manage on their own when we are tying to get the children into the waterproof suits for outside. Thanks so much for your understanding.
