This week we have continued with our cold weather and polar topic.
The children have had a great time making miniature snowmen with the play dough and dressing up in hats, scarves and gloves in the home corner. They have also enjoyed using plastic ‘ice’ blocks to build shelters and dens for the polar animals.
We made pizza in our air fryer and the children loved playing in our sensory rice tray. The children have made lots of cold colour art work using a range of recyclable materials and bubble wrap as well as exploring painting on tin foil.
They have also enjoyed making pictures using loose parts such as small match sticks, stones, gems etc.
We’ve continued singing a range of winter themed songs and rhymes and reading a range of stories chosen by the children daily.
